Météo-France's own model on the 0.1° European domain — about 10 km — from the mid-Atlantic to the Black Sea. The surface fields are hourly the whole way to 102 hours, where ICON-EU steps in threes after 48; the fields aloft thin to three-hourly at the same point, and the scrubber says so. Four runs a day, in authentic ecCharts colours.

The German service's European nest at 0.0625° — about 6.5 km — eight runs a day, twice ARPEGE's cadence. France sits entirely inside it, drawn in the same colours on the same band breaks, so a swipe between the two is a swipe between two national forecasts and nothing else.

Straight to the country this site is named for, at 2-metre temperature. Every place in the picker is a viewport on one raster rather than its own render, so moving from Brittany to Provence — or to Iceland — costs nothing and happens instantly.
ARPEGE 0.25° Global
The same Météo-France run on the global grid — measured, it agrees with the European domain over France to 0.02 K in mean temperature, so it is not a second opinion but this one with the boundary removed. Use it for the Atlantic past 32°W, for maximum and minimum temperature the European download does not carry, and for the two poles.
Two models, one scale
Open ARPEGE over France, then use Compare & verify to swipe ICON-EU over it or subtract one from the other. Where they part company — the Alps, the Pyrenees, the Rhône in a mistral — is where a 6.5 km nest and a 10 km stretched grid resolve the terrain differently.
Exits by country
ONE RASTER · EVERY VIEW IS A VIEWPORTEach of these opens ARPEGE on that country at 2-metre temperature. Nothing is re-rendered to get there: one raster covers the whole domain and every place is a camera position on it. The picker lists the world, and the 0.1° domain does not cover it — ARPEGE-EUROPE stops at 32°W and 42°E, so anywhere outside that box is named as outside the domain rather than drawn as an empty map. Swap the model to ARPEGE 0.25° and every one of those places is drawn, because that grid really does cover the world.
Why this site exists
The full-resolution model
Most freely available ICON imagery comes from the 0.25° regridded feed, or from a nest shown only over its own country. This site draws DWD's 0.125° global dissemination — four times as many grid points — and the full ICON-EU domain at 0.0625°, so an Alpine valley, a North Sea convergence line or a Föhn wind down the Inn is the size the model actually made it.
Honest rendering
Colour scales are pinned to absolute values, never re-fit per frame, and the ecCharts tables are the real ECMWF Magics colours on their published level breaks — used here so a Météo-France chart, a DWD chart and an ECMWF chart are read on one scale — discrete bands, not a smoothed rainbow. Point at the map and it names the band, because that is the only claim the chart makes.

Part of a network
Forecast Euro draws ECMWF worldwide, Forecast Germany draws the DWD ICON family, and Forecast Eagle covers North America from NOAA sources. Forecast France is the same instrument pointed at Météo-France — and, unlike its siblings, at two services at once over one country, because the useful question about a national model is not how good it is but where the neighbours disagree with it. The ICON-EU frames here are the very bytes Forecast Germany renders, which is what makes that comparison a statement about the weather rather than about two pipelines.
